The Golf Resort Bad Griesbach has long since established its reputation amongst golfers and all those who aspire to golfing prowess. The Hartl Resort is a Bavarian golf and health spa Mecca whose fame has spread well beyond the borders of Germany to become one of the major golfing locations in the whole of Europe. It even maintains partnerships with such top US destinations as the PGA National Resort in West Palm Beach (Florida) and has also established ties with the largest golf resort in the world, the Mission Hills Golf Club in China.

Golf on Championship Courses, practice in the Golfodrom^®

Well over 30,000 golf fans a year have been making their way to the Golf Resort since the facilities opened in 1990. The needs of both experienced players and beginners are met in a unique way.

The opening of the "Mercedes-Benz Golf Course" in 2003 has brought the number of 18-hole championship courses up to five. Three 9-hole courses, a 6-hole children's course and a 6-hole "hackers' course" have also been added. Unlimited practice facilities are also available in the so-called "Golfodrom®” regardless of the prevailing weather conditions outside. The Golfodrom® has 200 practice bays, 109 of which are covered and 21 of which have heating installed for winter practice sessions. There are also an 18-hole putting green inside the hall and a 72-hole outdoor putting green.

The Golf Academy employs 36 carefully selected international golf teachers to sort out your swing and is an integral part of the resort. And it goes without saying that all facilities feature the famous "19th hole" and well-stocked shops.

18-HOLE GOLF COURSES FOR ALL ABILITIES

The 18-hole courses at the Golf Resort present a challenge to players of all abilities. Although low handicappers are unlikely to have an easy time of it, different tee positions ensure that the course is set up in a fair way for all golfers. The championship facilities at Brunnwies, the Uttlau Golf Course, the Lederbach Golf Course and the two top courses – the Beckenbauer Golf Course and the Mercedes-Benz Golf Course in Penning – offer plenty of variety in terms of landscape structure. The golfer will find completely flat courses which are easy to walk and feature plenty of water (Beckenbauer, Mercedes-Benz and Sagmühle) as well as being confronted with hilly courses (Brunnwies and Uttlau) and a course which is described as "virtually Alpine" (Lederbach Golf Course).

The signature of the world-class golfer and Ryder Cup Captain Bernhard Langer is unmistakeable. Langer is responsible for the design of the 18 holes in Brunnwies and the 36 holes in Penning. Franz Beckenbauer is a long-standing personal friend of the resort and has given his name to one of the new courses in Penning.

THE GOLFING MISSION

The objectives being pursued by Bad Griesbach are the main reason why Bernhard Langer has displayed such a degree of commitment. The resort's aims are:
